There is not much that ambitious brokers/owners can do to fuel the growth of their companies through franchise affiliates when they are in markets already saturated with big names. They can keep trying to grow as independents, a hard road to take, or they can affiliate with our small growing franchise, Remerica, a company my partners and I started to help independents survive and grow.
As the past owner of Century-21 of Michigan, a regional operation, I saw what a franchise operation could do. As owner of multiply Century-21 offices I felt there had to be a better way for an independent broker to grow within a franchise. So, my partners and I devised a system whereby an individual broker can add an additional revenue stream to his bottom line. We cap our service fees to the broker who continues to collect them from his or her agents. In many cases we have brokers who are making and keeping more in franchise fees than Remerica, Inc. No other franchise organization does this.
